Edgar Castillo-Armas, MD
PSYCHIATRIST
MEDICAL DIRECTOR
I first became interested in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) as a treatment for severe depression in 2010. I was drawn to TMS because it is a non-invasive and non-systemic procedure, offering a safe and effective alternative to traditional medications. Over the years, I have witnessed how stimulation of the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex can enhance brain synaptic plasticity and lead to remarkable improvements in patients’ symptoms. Having treated hundreds of individuals with treatment-resistant depression, I take great pride in seeing sustained improvements in both mood and daily functioning through TMS therapy.

Hailey Nelson, BS
OFFICE SUPERVISOR
NUTRITION SPECIALIST
While working in the nutrition field, I developed a strong interest in the gut microbiome and its connection to mental health. As my career evolved from a hospital setting to a clinical office environment, I discovered my niche. For the past three years, I’ve had the privilege of working with Dr. Castillo-Armas, studying the relationship between diet and mental health while also serving in an administrative role. I take great pride in helping patients better understand nutrition and ensuring they receive the highest quality care during their treatment at our clinic.

Michelle Mott
BILLING SPECIALIST
I’ve been part of Central California TMS Center since it opened in 2010. Early in my career, I trained through NeuroStar University and later became skilled in administering TMS with MagVenture Theta Burst and MagPro’s 3-minute “TMS Express Therapy.” My years as a TMS Coordinator gave me a deep appreciation for how quickly TMS can change lives—it’s truly amazing to see someone recover in just weeks. Today, I serve as the center’s Financial Specialist, helping patients navigate their treatment plans and get the support they need.

Andy Lofing
TMS COORDINATOR
As a TMS Coordinator, I am excited to help create a supportive and welcoming experience for every patient who walks through our doors. I am currently completing my certification as a medical interpreter, which has deepened my appreciation for clear communication, empathy, and connection. I truly enjoy helping others—listening to them, understanding their needs, and being part of their healing journey. My favorite part of this role is witnessing the meaningful changes that TMS and the other treatments offered at our clinic can bring to patients’ lives. Seeing their progress and renewed sense of hope is incredibly rewarding. I look forward to providing the highest level of care and compassion to you, the future patient reading this.

Eren Hernandez
TMS COORDINATOR
As a dedicated Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, I’ve learned that obstacles are an unavoidable part of life—and that overcoming them often comes down to perspective and the way we choose to approach each challenge. In my role as a TMS Coordinator, I’ve witnessed this same principle come to life through TMS treatment. Watching patients reset their brains, shift their outlook, and regain a sense of possibility has been profoundly rewarding. Supporting individuals through this process and seeing their resilience grow is what inspires me every day in this work.
