How do I know if I am a candidate for treatment?

During your initial evaluation, Dr. Castillo-Armas will carefully assess your needs and determine which treatment options are best suited for you.

Can I bring someone with me to my initial evaluation appointment?

Yes! Dr. Castillo-Armas encourages you to bring your partner, spouse, or parent to your initial evaluation. Having a support person present can be very helpful during the process.

I work everyday 9:00am - 5:00pm, how can I make time for treatment?

If you’re having trouble getting time off from work or school for your treatment, Dr. Castillo-Armas can provide a “Time-Off” request letter or complete an FMLA form on your behalf. A $35 fee applies for this service.

Do any of the treatments hurt?

No — Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is noninvasive and typically feels like a mild tapping on the scalp. Spravato® (esketamine) is a nasal spray and is not painful to administer. Alpha-Stimulation is gentle and painless, often creating only a mild tingling sensation, if any.
